However, if that Martha's Vineyard bird was in fact a Black-chinned, then the bird which stayed in a Little Compton RI yard until Nov. 10 would be the last 2005 Ruby-throat sighting in New England. The latest recent New England record for a Ruby-throat is December 25, 2004 in Tiverton, RI.
